BeCaptainStudio ("we", "us", or "our") built the Voxify app as a free, ad-supported application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our app.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Audio Recordings

Voxify records audio through your device's microphone only when you explicitly tap the record button. All audio recordings are processed and stored locally on your device. We do not upload, transmit, or have access to any of your audio recordings.

1.2 Local Preferences

We store minimal app preferences on your device (such as your selected language and onboarding completion status) using your device's local storage. This data never leaves your device.

1.3 Advertising Data

We use Google AdMob to serve ads within the app. Google AdMob may collect certain information automatically, including:

Device identifiers (Advertising ID)
IP address
Device type, operating system, and version
App interaction data (ad impressions, clicks)
General location (country/region level, derived from IP)

This data is collected and processed by Google under their own privacy policy. We do not have access to personally identifiable information collected through ads.

2. How We Use Information

Audio recordings — Used solely on your device to apply voice effects. Never transmitted externally.
Local preferences — Used to remember your settings between sessions.
Advertising data — Used by Google AdMob to serve relevant ads and measure ad performance.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party, except as described below:

Google AdMob — As described in Section 1.3, Google may collect device and interaction data for ad serving. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Sharing by you — When you choose to share processed audio files through the system share sheet, those files are sent to the app or service you select. We have no control over how recipients handle shared content.

4. Data Storage and Security

All audio files and preferences are stored locally on your device using standard platform storage mechanisms. Audio files are saved in temporary or app-specific directories. We do not operate any servers that store your data.

5. Children's Privacy

Voxify is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will take steps to remove such data.

6. Your Rights

Since all your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it:

Delete recordings — Delete audio files from your device at any time through your file manager or by uninstalling the app.
Reset preferences — Clear app data through your device's settings.
Opt out of personalized ads — Adjust your ad preferences in your device's privacy settings (iOS: Settings > Privacy > Apple Advertising; Android: Settings > Google > Ads).

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
